 Why We Should Have A Playground At The Pahurehure Inlet

Dear Papakura Council, i am here to talk to you about why we should have a playground at the Pahurehure Inlet. Heres some reasons why.

Firstly it would be a safe area to play, children don’t always have a backyard these days, it would be cool to have a playground to go to play on.

Secondly you could go for a walk the go on the playground, have a picnic or you could even meet your friends at the playground and play together.

Lastly it would encourage people to go to the Pahurehure Inlet and go for a walk and play on the playground. I wish that the area would be big enough for people to kick a ball around and do whatever they want.

This weeks writing task was how your body works so i chose to do how you breathe.

How you breathe

Firstly you breathe in the oxygen with your nose, then it goes in your nostril. After that it goes down your windpipe then goes out your bronchi’s into your lungs then the oxygen and carbon dioxide gets exchanged. Your diaphragm contracts when you breathe in and expands when you breathe out.

That’s how you breath.

The Day I Woke Up With Superpowers

One morning i woke up, but i wasn’t in my room i was in the middle of a desert. Then i took a good look around and in the distance i could see a town, the town looked poor, so i got up and went to the town and asked one of them to tell me where i was and they said California. The i said that i live ll the way over in New York but before he could say anything there were these people who looked like cowboys and they had guns so the man ran inside, then bam!! The man shot me. I was lying on the ground with blood everywhere, then i blacked out. About half an hour later my eyes randomly opened, at that moment i was so confused because i got shot but then i woke up or you could say came back to life. The next day i caught the next flight there was to New York. When i got to New York i knew that i had immortality because you can’t just come back to life. In the morning on the news it was breaking news and it was about a villain, then i realised that i could try and stop him because i can’t die. So i ran outside and ran to the city which is where the villain was, when i got there i saw the villain on the top of a building, so i went to the top of the building and there he was flying above my head. He dropped down so i punched him multiple times, he was on the ground weak, then when he stood up i pushed him as hard as i could and then he fell all the way to the bottom then i was assuming he was dead from the massive fall. After the villain died the whole town was very happy because they are not in danger. When i got to the bottom of the building there were already news reporters waiting for me to get interviewed. THE END

 What If Everyone In The World Was Vegetarian

It all started when i woke up and then went to the supermarket and i went to get some meat and there was none, so i went to the lady at the counter and said why is there no meat, and she said because the whole world is going to be vegetarian, i was in such a shock. When i finished my shopping i raced back home and told everybody about whats happening and they were just as shocked as i was. Once i told them that i went to a shop that sold fruit and vegetable seeds and brought as many as i could because there might be a fruit and vegetable shortage. Now we growing fruits and vegetables because the supermarket has ran out of them. One night we were listening to the news and they said for everybody to grow there own fruit and vegetables because the supermarket can’t supply you the whole time. We were thinking that the plants would take too long to grow so we waited until we ran out of fruit and vegetables then the next day we ran out we went to the news place and said to them that the plants would take too long to grow and we should just eat meat because we don’t have enough fruit and vegetables. Since they were live so they said everybody just stop being a vegetarian because we don’t have any fruit and vegetables left so if you want to starve you be a vegetarian. Then when they said that we went straight to the supermarket and brought some meat. That night we had some delicious meat!! It was so good not having to eat only fruit and vegetables.

 When Superman Saves The Day

It was then when superman was asleep mystique was at her house planning to do a massive heist at the metropolis bank. The next morning superman woke up dressed in his superhero suit ready to go to work. When superman got to work he was waiting until there was someone to rescue, he realized that he left his door unlocked so he flew back home and saw the door open. When superman opened the door he saw the house was in a pigsty which wasn’t like that before he left so he knew someone had been spying on him and robbed him.

When he got inside he went to the kitchen he saw his wife there,  then he realized that his wife was at work so he went to his “wife” and then said who are you his “wife” said mystique while turning into a bird and flew away over all the skyscrapers. She is not getting away said superman, so superman flew over the skyscrapers and chased mystique until she got to a flock of birds just up the road. Superman kept a eye on the birds to see if one of them flew off. Then he did see a bird fly away then it went to the ground and changed to a different animal that superman couldn’t even see, so superman flew on top of one of the skyscrapers and just sat there. Then he saw some people getting robbed so he flew down and then grabbed the robbers then got the bags for the people that got robbed and chucked the people far away with his super strength. Then he went to his house and lay on the couch and fell asleep. Superman got woken up by an alarm across the road so he went to the window and he saw a bird with a bag full of money. Superman changed into his superhero suit and flew to the bird and grabbed it then went to the ground, when he got to the ground the bird changed into a lizard and grabbed the bag then put it on the ground and turned into a lion. Superman just thought that he can’t always work by himself so he called the justice league for backup so that he knew for sure that he can catch mystique. But then mystique turned into a cheetah just when the justice league came, so flash chased mystique and caught her and grabbed her so that she couldn’t get away. After superman took her and put her into handcuffs and she got sent to jail with strong walls so that she can’t break them. That was the day that superman saved the day.

Why I Think The Borders Shouldn't Be Opened

Today i am going to talk to you about why the nz borders shouldn’t open, here are some reasons why i think they shouldn’t be shut.

Firstly,

If they are open there will be people flying into the country they could potentially have Covid - 19. Covid can inflame your lungs which causes infections. Covid - 19 will be a big impact on the country if we open our borders to the world, it can be very risky to open the borders. If covid - 19 gets into the country then we might have to go into lockdown and nobody wants that to happen again.

Secondly,

Some of the other countries are doing raelly bad for example lets say the UK they are treating it like the flu, but Covid is much worse than the flu so then if we open the borders we will be at risk to covid from the UK people. Here are some more countries that are doing bad, US, Brazil, India, Mexico, Peru, Russia and Indonesia.

Lastly,

I strongly believe that if we do open the borders than the people that travel to nz should be fully vaccinated, but if they are not fully vaccinated then they won’t get to go onto the plane to nz, it will be to much of a risk for the borders to be open.

Why Kapa Haka Is Good For You

Intro

Today I am going to talk to you about why kapa haka is good for you, here are some reasons why kapa haka is good for you.

Firstly,

It can make you learn new things as in the culture and their language. It makes you learn new things by just the teacher because the teacher teaches you about the language and the history of the Maori. It also teaches you about where you are from and about your pepeha.

Secondly,

It helps you get stronger physically and mentally. It helps you get stronger physically because you do strong arm and leg movements which is upper body strength and lower body strength. How it helps you get mentally stronger is like the knowledge of Maori which is in the first paragraph.

Lastly,

I strongly believe that kapa haka can help all of those different things mentioned in the paragraphs above, kapa haka is probably the best for getting you mentally stronger because of the reasons mentioned above in one of the paragraphs.

Today I am going to talk to you about why schools should have bike tracks. Here are some reasons why schools should have bike tracks.

 

Firstly biking helps you get healthier and stronger bones. Biking reduces the chance of braking your bones. It also helps grow your bones so that they are stronger and are healthier.

secondly biking helps the students from geting obiese. Biking is the third best way to lose weight and here is why. It incersses your metabolism which allows you to burn more calories.

Thirdly biking can decrease your stress levels. If you have high stress levels it can cause many things like depression, heart disese, heart attacks, strokes, anxiety, etc. All of those things that were listed just then are really bad for your health.

I strongly believe that every school should have a bike track and those were all the reasons why schools should have bike tracks.

Week 6 Writing A Moment In Time

 In the first game it was easy. It was easy because the other team was bunched so you could just dribble around them. The game started and i was nervous because I didn't know how good they are but then they lost the ball so i knew that they were not that good. So then we scored a goal, then now they had to start so they might get a goal and so they did. Then me and Josh kept passing and got two more goals. The last goal leslie scored because i passes it to her and she shot and it hit the goal keeper and went in the goal. The score was 4-1 so we won the game!!! On the third to last game we lost and i will tell you why, so the score was 2-2 and they had the ball and they kept on passing between each other and then they shot, our goal keeper caught the ball in just in front of the line and then the ref said that it was a GOAL! If we won that game we could have been in the finals but the ref said that it was a goal.

My Writing Term 2 Week 2

My Hobbie: Soccer

My hobby is soccer because it is really fun, also i like when

our team scores a goal. For soccer i like playing with my friends.

When i play a game i don’t mind losing unless they push you and

shove you then i do care because that is unfair and not meant to do that.

When i play with the new kids they become my friends so that

is how i make friends while playing soccer. Soccer is also my

favorite sport.My mum is my coach so it makes soccer more fun for me.

My team is really good.Soccer is one of the most played sport and there

are 265 million players and4 billion fans, also that means that soccer

has the most fans for the sports. Soccer has been around for over

2,000 years. Soccer was made in England.

When i grow up i want to be a mortgage broker. A mortgage broker is someone that gets an approval so that they get a loan from the bank and that means they can buy whatever they are trying to bye. Mortgage brokers have to make lots of phone call to there customers, also the customers have to make lots of phone calls as well to get information on what they have to do. Mortgage brokers work long hours. the time it takes to get one deal through is about two weeks. A deal is the bit were you get the money My dad is a Mortgage broker so thats why i want to do that also he can teach me how to do evertyhing to do with Mortgage brocker.

Monster Writing

 For writing we had to create a monster and write about it and here is my writing. Its name is Mechakong.

My Monster is enormous because it is a gorilla its foot is the size of a tiger. Mechakong lives in a forest. My monster has red wings, brown body and has grey metal legs. Mechakong is mixed with king kong which is the body, arms and head. The legs are from Mechagodzilla and the wings are from Gyaos. The king kong bits are furry but the other parts are not furry. Mechakong loves to eat small animals like rabbits and mice. If any animal tries to bite him he eats them whole because he is enormous.

One Change I Would Like To Make And All The Changes In My Life Writing Week 7 Term 1

 Purpose: Describe

Audience: Everyone

All the changes in my life have been thrilling, nervracking, a little bit sad, exciting and scary. Probably the biggest change was moving house which was about 5 years ago, this change for me was exciting, we only moved on the space behind our old house, the only thing about the house is the backyard because it used to be massive but now it is tiny. Another change was going to senior school which was not that big of a change but it still was a change, this change was nervracking. Also that year my brothers were going to intermediate which was a little bit sad but i don't mind now. The latest change in my life was becoming a school leader which was exciting and nervracking.

If i could change one thing in my life i would change my house well i mean move house because i am not in zone for any schools thats why, also i would like to get a dog but we can't because we need a gate or to move house because the dog might escape. The dog that i would like is a fluffy dog because my brothers friend has them and i like them because they are playful and lie on your lap. Also i would move because it would be better with a bigger backyard because i would play outside more, and if we had a dog i would play with it.
